Surface mount technology (SMT)
Due to the need for minaturisation many pcbs now utilise surface mount technology at clarydon we have invested in equipment to allow us to place the most up to date components ranging from 0201 to 50mm qfp;S and bga's.Odd form components can also be assembled using laser guided placement.

Due to component availability some PCB's cannot use SMT.We have capability to assemble through hole PCB's using a variety of methods to ensure quality and repeatability.

Hand inserted components for low / medium volumes or radial / non standard parts trimming of component leads prior to soldering using cropmatic for medium size batches.
Automatic dual wave soldering using no clean flux or voc free.Dual wave capability for mixed technology/double sided boards.
