Finally, a cost effective way to minimize limescale damage and corrosion to heating elements and other parts in tank and tankless water heaters. A high capacity polypropylene filter removes silt, dirt, rust and sediment. The water then passes through our proprietary scale inhibitor chamber to prevent minerals from sticking to the tankless water heater exchanger and other parts. The "Heater Cheater" system includes a pressure relief for easy filter changes and a high quality liquid filled pressure gauge with a high pressure indicator red zone. UPC requires water pressure to be maintained below 80 PSI and this gauge helps you maintain that protecting your entire plumbing system. The bracket can be reversed for easy installation in any location.

Installation Instructions

All systems must be installed by a licensed and qualified technician. Follow all local plumbing codes. The filter cartridge isdesigned to be changed annually but more frequentchange-outs may be necessary depending on the incoming water quality and number of occupants in the house.

1. Mount filter to wall using appropriate hardware. Mounting to a stud is preferred.

2. Plumb feed water to inlet of filter. Never solder near the filter housing as this can damage it.

3. Plumb outlet of filter to inlet of the tank or tankless water heater

4. Slowly pressurize filter and monitor water pressure. If the pressure exceeds 80 PSI, stop and install a pressure regulator.

5. Carefully inspect system for leaks.
