Creep action thermostat is specially designed for control the temperature of heating. It is used for the applications which have a very small temperature differential demands, for example, heating pad, heating floor mat etc. The creep action thermostat can keep the temperature floating in 5 celcious range.
Meanwhile, the creep action thermostat has a very long life. The life cycles can be 100,000 cycles, which ensure the endurance of final application.
1. CONSTRUCTION OF CREEP ACTION THERMOSTAT:
1-1 SHAPE: Shown on a separate drawing “17AME”.
1-2 WIRE LEAD: AWG#18-Tin plated copper core appliance POLYETHYLENE INSULATED wire.
1-3 CASE: Zn plated steel material or iron with rustless coating .
1-4 SLEEVE MATERIAL: Polyester terephthalate film .
2. SPECIFICATION OF CREEP ACTION THERMOSTAT:
2-1 RATING:
AC125V,20A, AC250V,10A, DC16V,20A
2-2 OPERATING TEMPERATURE : SEE NOTE 2
2-3 DIELECTRIC STRENGTH: An insulation sleeve shall withstand for 1 minute without breakdown at test potential of 1500V-ACor foe 1 second without breakdown at 1800V-AC and maximum leak current shall be less than 10mA.
2-4 INSULATION RESISTANCE: The insulation resistance between live parts and ground dead material parts is more than 100MOHM, measured by 500V-DC “MEGAR” at room temperature and room humidity.
2-5 CONTACT CIRCUIT RESISTANCE: less than 50Mohm.
NOTE: MAKE REFERENCE TO THE DESCRIPTION OF “NOTEL”
2-6 HEAT ENDURANCE TEST: A Motor protector exposed to the air condition of 180°C for 96 hours.
2-7 HUMIDITY TEST: A Motor protector is exposed to relative humidity 95% RH at a temperature of 40°C for 48hours.
2-8 HEAT SHOCK TEST: A Motor protector subjected to 5 cycles of heat shock between -20°C±3°C for 30 minutes and 180°C±3°C for 30 minutes.
2-9 VIBRATION ENDURANCE TEST: The test apparatus is to consist of a vibration table which provides synchronous motion with total displacement of 1.5mm, and vibration is varied uniformly from 10HZ to 55HZ in 1 cycle for period of 3-5 minutes. Thermostat is to be tested so that X, Y, Z axis of the sample are subjected to vibration, each for a period of 2 hours (total 6 hours).
2-10 DROP TEST: A Protector is dropped to vinytile floor 70cm height with natural condition.
After the item 2-6,-7,-8,-9,-10 test, the test sample should be met to the following condition.
A) Operation temperature shall not shift form initial temperature by more than ±7°C.
B)Contact circuit resistance: Less than 50mOHM.
C)The can is not damaged.
D)Wire lead insulation does not have a crack or expansion.
3. LIFE TEST OF CREEP ACTION THERMOSTAT
In the condition applied maximum current and voltage rating, power factor 1, protector shall perform by automatic means for number of 2000 cycles. After this, satisfy the following conditions.
A)Operational temperature shall not vary form initial temperature by more then ±5°C.
B)Contact resistance: Less than 50Mohm And after additional 10000 cycles, there shall be no electrical or mechanical failure of the Motor Protector.
4. OTHER
4-1 TEMPERATURE MEASUREMENT METHODS
Operational temperature shall be measured by thermocouple or thermometer with the rate of 1°C per 2 minutes in an agitating air.
